The Sound of Safety: Our New Range of Antimicrobial Whistles

Here at ACME Whistles, we have invented many of the significant developments in whistle technology over our 150-year history.

Our innovators are always looking for ways to improve our range of products to ensure our customers get the best whistle experience possible.

We are proud to announce that our range of plastic whistles will now have SUPRA-GUARD antimicrobial additives, which are proven to protect against harmful bacteria.

From this point onwards, the new plastics will be included as standards in all of our plastic whistles, designed for everything from sports coaches to dog trainers.

What are Antimicrobials?

Antimicrobial plastic technologies can be found in more places than you’d expect. From healthcare to food, antimicrobials offer protection against potentially harmful bacteria.

The antimicrobials used in all of our whistles are safe, non toxic, fully compliant and can effectively inhibit the growth of microorganisms.

Our SUPRA-GUARD Antimicrobials keep your whistles clean and you safe.

How we are using Antimicrobials for our Whistles

ACME Whistles uses the SUPRA-GUARD antimicrobial active agent to prevent the build-up of bacteria on the surface of a plastic whistle.

By doing this, we have achieved 99.9% reduction in the spread of surface bacteria, this minimises the risk of staining, bad odours and material degradation.

If you are a fan of colour you’ll be glad to hear that all of ACME’s signature colours are available with the new antimicrobial technology, so you can be safe and stylish no matter which whistle you choose.

What this means for you

Our SUPRA-GUARD antimicrobial plastic whistles will still have the same great look and sound.

However, we hope that the sporting, canine, and maritime communities will be confident in the fact that their whistle is as clean and safe as possible at all times.

We still recommend cleaning your whistle regularly to ensure its cleanliness, but our new antimicrobial range will help to keep you and your whistle safe, clean and in the best condition possible.

We are proud to make this step to update our plastic specification, whilst working with our dedicated team designing the next generation of whistle.
