Lara Sorisi is a distinguished dog trainer at Legacy Dog Training, specialising in science-based and force-free training methods. She is accredited by the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), which is a highly respected qualification in the field. Lara also holds a bronze-level certification with UK Sniffer Dogs, indicating her proficiency as an instructor for scent detection training. Her approach focuses on positive reinforcement, emphasising mental stimulation and engagement to build a strong bond between dogs and their owners. Lara is dedicated to helping dog owners understand the importance of proper mental stimulation to prevent behavioural issues, and she advocates against the use of aversive training methods which can exacerbate unwanted behaviours and anxiety in dogs.

My dogs are not just my passion they mean everything to me and make me who I am today.
To see a dog at its happiest is when they are working and doing the job they are designed and bred to do. You can meet these needs through training and stimulation which is why I think it’s so important to build enrichment into a dog’s life.
It’s what i spend my life specialising in and have found the reward for the time and commitment spent of finding the balance, is the most loyal and best friend you could possibly imagine.
