Following years of development and more than 40 iterations, we are thrilled to have released our latest innovation in the world of whistles: The ACME ALPHA. This is a truly revolutionary dog training tool which is unlike any other on the market and we’re sure you’re going to absolutely love it.
If you are familiar with our other best selling dog whistles then you’ll know that they are famous for their unrivalled quality and performance. The ACME ALPHA is based on two of our most popular dog whistles, the 210 ½ and 211 ½, which are loved by pet owners and trainers alike.
While the standard 210 ½ and 211 ½ models have a few visual similarities with the all new ACME ALPHA, there are plenty of key differences that are more than skin deep and represent a huge step forward in sound solutions for dog training. A closer look at the ACME ALPHA’s exterior
One of the first things you might notice about the ACME ALPHA is that the surface finish is different. Our original dog whistles have a smooth, almost glossy finish because they are made from high quality, shatter resistant plastic. They are extremely tough and durable, though they can be a little slippery in wet, outdoor environments.
To make the ACME ALPHA a dream to use in even the most challenging conditions, we have engineered a surface coating which has much more grip and have introduced a textured surface to the underside. In the hand, the ACME ALPHA feels lightweight yet solid, and is extremely comfortable to operate. We’ve hand selected some exclusive colours for the ALPHA, so you’ll find something that suits your personal style.
A closer look at the ACME ALPHA’s interior
While the exterior engineering is impressive by itself, we aimed to create a dog training whistle that would undisputedly be the best in the world and that meant completely reengineering the interior. Unlike other ACME classics such as the Thunderer, the ALPHA whistles do not contain a “pea” and instead work by concentrating and directing airflow to create a sound. Whistles that work in this way are called “airfast” whistles.
The original 210 ½ and 211 ½ work in this way very effectively, but through years of research and development we have been able to fine tune the interior structures to make them even more effective. In fact, the ACME ALPHA models are 8% louder than our original dog whistles, delivering an impressively clean, crisp sound. The extra volume and clarity that the ALPHAs produce means that their effective working range is increased by a huge 17%.
This allows dog owners and trainers to communicate with their dogs over much longer distances, making training easier and communication clearer and easier for a dog to follow. The improved clarity and directness of the ALPHA’s call also makes it a better communication and training tool in difficult environments such as dense vegetation cover, poor weather, and high levels of background noise.
