In the wide expanse of the natural world, where uncharted wilderness and unpredictable elements can easily catch us out, a simple and unassuming yet profoundly useful tool emerges as a beacon of hope and salvation: the survival whistle. This unpretentious device, often carried in the backpacks or pockets of outdoors people, possesses the remarkable ability to transform dire situations into tales of survival and personal triumph.
We at ACME understand the profound importance of emergency whistles and their role in outdoor activities, disaster scenarios, and search and rescue operations. By leveraging their unique capacity to attract attention, pierce through chaos, and serve as a lifeline during times of peril, we are better placed to turn some of our most challenging moments to our favour.

In the vast and ever-growing world of media and popular culture, the humble whistle has long had a place in the production of content. The whistle is generally thought of as a tool, something that is used predominantly for utilitarian purposes, though they are also used extensively for musical applications too. As a whistle manufacturer with a long and celebrated history, our whistles have been used for some interesting and unique purposes over the years.
The ACME Slide Whistle
While it is one of our lesser known whistle designs, most people will definitely recognise the musical tones of the ACME Slide Whistle from pop culture and the media. They were famously used as a voice in The Clangers, a beloved British children’s TV programme that first aired in the late 1960s and was revived in 2015.
