Any field sports enthusiast knows the value of a realistic and reliable bird call. These whistles are a niche product that ACME has specialised in for decades, becoming a leading designer and manufacturer of bird calls, crow calls, duck calls, pigeon calls, and other associated equipment such as harking horns in the UK.
Our whistles are also used in orchestral arrangements and to produce realistic sound effects for TV and cinema. Moire generally, they are features of British country lifestyle, and our carefully crafted range is much-loved by professionals and amateur twitchers alike.
There is a knack to getting the most realistic bird sounds out of these whistles. It’s easy once you’ve had some practice - you’ll be making reliable and realistic bird calls in no time. Our bird call whistles are designed for ease of use and consistency, so you can be confident that you’ll have a great piece of kit on hand during your next outing.

Welcoming a new puppy or rescue dog into your home is an exciting - and often quite hectic - time for all the family. There’s the inevitable naming debate to contend with as well as critical decisions to make; including whether they will be allowed on the couch, whether to crate train, and tha daily schedule for feeding and walks. There’s also quite a bit of stuff you’ll need to buy in advance to prepare their new home for them before they arrive.
Beyond this, you’ll need to make sure everyone in the family understands the ground rules because this will make training so much easier. Puppies need consistency to learn how to behave correctly, and if one of you is going against the rules and feeding the pup scraps from the table or letting them on the couch when no one else is looking, then your hard work can quickly be undone.
Here at ACME, we’re proud to play an important role in helping our furry friends to find happy forever homes. Our dog training whistles and clickers are renowned for

Ever seen a game of rugby without a referee? No? That’s because referees are just as integral to the sport as its players and fans.
But you may be shocked to hear that only a third (34%) of qualified officials stay to oversee more than three games.
That’s why ACME Whistles is proud to announce our partnership with The Rugby Football League, to help keep referees in rugby.
The new programme launched this week by RFL referees Ben Thaler and Liam Moore, will celebrate referees from their entry into the sport, right through to the most decorated referees and ambassadors of the game.
Our new partnership will support the hundreds of referees coming through RFL training courses each year with an additional layer of expert advice, content, and support.
The partnership will also celebrate inspirational stories throughout the year, building to a yearly awards evening honouring referees from community to professional level.
To celebrate the first three games, our up-and-coming referees will be awarded

Football for many of us is more than just a sport, it’s a way of living. Whether you support your local team or travel miles for every match, you are guaranteed to feel at home within your club's stadium. In fact, many supporters form strong rivalries with opposing teams whilst firmly standing by their chosen team. Yet there is one team every football fan will support each time they play, sticking with them through the ups and downs (and there's been a lot!).
The England squad gets the whole nation singing, whether it's down the pub, in our own homes, or at the stadium. Events such as The World Cup and The Euro’s brings the football community together and allows some of the best players in the game to shine. However, the football rivalry won’t stop because the players are on one team, as many of us take the opportunity to gloat about star players being from our club. But which places have dominated the England line-up throughout the years?
In order to find which places gifted us the most

When considering after-school activities, many lean towards the sporting world. This will usually come from a dream of being England's next top goal scorer. However, Archie Redford has taken his passion for Rugby one step further, as he took to the field and refereed his first match - something he hopes he will turn into a lifelong career.
How did Archie get involved in Rugby?
The Redford family from Halifax eat, sleep, and play Rugby. His dad is the chairman of the local club, Elland, whilst mum Gemma is the child welfare officer. It is no wonder why Archie has such a passion for the game.
When he isn’t playing Rugby for his U13’s team, you will find him helping out the club wherever possible. His spare time has always been devoted to the game, and it seems he would do anything and everything to get involved in training sessions.
For his mum, Gemma, it comes as no surprise. “I think he's seen how much we give, and he’s always wanted to get involved, whether holding a tackle bag, when we

Here at ACME whistles, we pride ourselves on being creators and innovators as well as the creative and colourful designs of our whistles.
Our newest addition to our whistle collection is our most extravagant yet - thanks to the 470 diamonds.
CME's Diamond Dog Whistle
We have created the world’s most expensive whistle, fit for royalty - and we know her majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, is a fan of ACME’s dog whistles already.
Handcrafted by our team of experts, the new whistle is made from solid sterling silver and covered in 12.75 carats of diamonds. Each diamond is set by hand, taking 150 man-hours for our team to create just one whistle.
This is just one of the many reasons that our newest whistle is made to order, making each whistle one-of-a-kind.
The diamond dog whistle can be made using either the classic 210½ TM, 211½ TM or 212 whistles design, and maintains the same pitch, tone and quality of sound demanded by every whistle produced from ACME’s home in Birmingham.

Here at ACME Whistles, we have invented many of the significant developments in whistle technology over our 150-year history.
Our innovators are always looking for ways to improve our range of products to ensure our customers get the best whistle experience possible.
We are proud to announce that our range of plastic whistles will now have SUPRA-GUARD antimicrobial additives, which are proven to protect against harmful bacteria.
From this point onwards, the new plastics will be included as standards in all of our plastic whistles, designed for everything from sports coaches to dog trainers.
What are Antimicrobials?
Antimicrobial plastic technologies can be found in more places than you’d expect. From healthcare to food, antimicrobials offer protection against potentially harmful bacteria.
The antimicrobials used in all of our whistles are safe, non toxic, fully compliant and can effectively inhibit the growth of microorganisms.
Our SUPRA-GUARD Antimicrobials keep your whistles clean and

Completing the Channel swim is one of the biggest challenges a swimmer can face, and for some, a life-long dream. The Channel stretches out, at its shortest, 21 miles between England and France yet the path the swimmers take can increase in distance depending on the current.
As one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world, the Channel provides many challenges for those attempting the swim. And last week, a team took on the challenge in order to answer one question: Which ACME Whistle is the best or the English Channel Swim?
With many boats and ferries crossing the Channel as well as the swimmers, it’s important for any team to have a clear way of communicating with the swimmers. Not only keeping them safe, but allowing for the swimmers to keep to a rhythm until instructed to stop.
The swimmers’ ears were put under scrutiny to find the best methods and tools for the swimmer and support boat to communicate with during the challenge.

Welcome to the first ACME Whistles Website of our next 150 years. The future beckons and this, is our signpost.
The ability to create a ‘first’ often depends on seizing opportunity at the right time linked to a strong awareness of accumulated talents. Joseph Hudson, our founder, was perceptive enough to recognise the big step forward from policemen using rattles to giving clearer, more audible warnings when they used his pioneering Metropolitan whistle. His original ‘ACME first’ was a landmark change, followed by other significant firsts with the famous ACME Thunderer put in the hands of millions of users through peacetime years and hard battles of war as a trusted aid for sporting officials, armed forces, ships and railways, to handle demanding everyday needs.
Being first is still never an easy achievement. While we uphold all the merits of our founding principles, staying first demands a huge commitment to innovation, design excellence and quality engineering at all times.
